Mr. Pitt is going to Washington! Actually, the entire Brangelina brood will be making their way to Washington as Angelina will be filming scenes for Salt in the district. While his family works and plays, Brad Pitt has organized a meeting with Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi. They will be discussing Brad’s organization Make It Right Nola, and the private, federal, state and local efforts to rebuild New Orleans after 2005’s Hurricane Katrina. People has more:

The actor, 45, will be in Washington, D.C. – where partner Angelina Jolie, 33, is filming her upcoming movie Salt – on Thursday and will meet with Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi.
“They will be discussing Make It Right Nola, a project launched in 2007 to construct affordable and environmentally-sustainable housing for low-income residents of the Lower Ninth Ward in New Orleans who lost their homes as a result of Hurricane Katrina,” said a statement released Wednesday afternoon by Speaker Pelosi’s office.
Pitt and Pelosi, 68, are slated to kick off their meeting at 3:30 p.m., after posing for photos for the press in the Capitol Building.

Nancy Pelosi became the first female Speaker of the House in January 2007. The congressional district she represents encompasses a large part of San Francisco. She’s often the target of Republican attacks for having “San Francisco values”, which I suppose is code for liking gay people, the environment and animal rights.
It’s a pretty high-powered meeting for Brad, considering a meager five years ago, his biggest political affiliation was “Legalize Pot Now”. Brad has given several interviews where he said that by the end of this year, Make It Right NOLA hoped to have 100 homes up. He and Speaker Pelosi will have a lot to discuss.
These two twits deserve each other…neither has sense enough to pour piss out of a boot.

I’m sure you’re right. It could not have been Brangelina’s idea to arrange for a camera crew. They would never do that. They’ve always tried to do their charity work quietly and without press or fanfare……

Pitt/Clooney interchangeable and without merit. The self-aggrandizing sales pitch … both are deserving of the award.
Brad’s involvement with Make it Right should be admirable, but coming from a man with a obscenely wasteful and environmentally damaging lifestyle it just seems hypocritical. You don’t HAVE to fly private and live in a $40m mansion, y’know Bradders, it is actually possible to practise what you preach!

I wonder why the triangle can’t be put aside when it comes to people that really need help. There are victims of katrin that are homeless. Here stands one man that’s willing to help. I don’t care about his past. I care about those homeless familes.
If these Hollywood types really care, they would shut their traps and lead by example……not spend countless, foolish dollars flying around in private jets, renting mansions etc. Who cares. Yes, people are hurting and they, along with our lame government, are doing nothing to help except pursue their own selfish ambitions. Hollywood is now vital to “entertaining” our president and his group. That’s where our money is being spent…..on foolish nonsense including the stupid meeting with Pelosi. It is a shame what is happening to our country and this twit, Brad, is one fool both in his political and “moral” (HA) beliefs. How irresponsible……..to have all these children without the benefit of a stable marriage. They call the way they are raising these kids is a loving and stable environment?..globe hopping, again for their own selfish purposes. They should all shut up. No one will ever go see their movies and their $20 million dollar contracts will all dry up. Then what???????

Is there someone who can explain how Make it right NOLA works?
I read somewhere that Brad Pitt spent his money (and someone else’s money too) to build houses that will be sell to other rich people that will give them to charity to the low income people. I’d like to know if I’ve just misinterpreted or if I’m right.
Anyway I find odd the way politicians tend to “co-operate” with such unimportant people as Brad Pitt.

From Jen people who think it’s ok to spend 50k on hair don’t give a tap about the homeless, the triangle is more important them. How sad and narcissistic but I don’t expect anything better from people that would spend that much on just hair.

What have any of you Nay sayers done for the homeless in NO? Nothing. He can afford a 40 million dollar house and a private plane and he should use his plane so his kids dont have to annoy anyone because then it will be his kids are brats and made everyone nuts on the plane. I just came back from my hone town of N O and those homes are nice and he and AJ have done plenty for the people there. So those of you who sit here and complain and slice and dice Pitt..shut your yaps and open your purses and help..that won’t happen tho lol you have better thing to do like cut down those that do help.
